# How a GetSorted strategy offsite works

**Short answer:** A GetSorted offsite runs in four stages: two weeks of reading your existing plan and values, two days in the room with your leaders, three printed pages within five days, then 90 days of workshops and weekly tools with your teams. It costs $25,000 including the 90 days, and is measured with a three-question recall test.

## What are the stages of a GetSorted offsite?

Two weeks, two days, five days, 90 days. GetSorted does the reading, writing, design and follow-up, so nobody walks into a blank whiteboard.

| Stage | When | What happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1. The read | Two weeks before | You share the plan, values, last offsite, org chart and handbook. GetSorted returns a first draft of the first two pages. |
| 2. The two days | In the room | Day one sets where we're going. Day two sets how we roll and what's my part. Your team pulls the draft apart and commits. |
| 3. The hand back | Within five days | Three designed, printed pages, plus a knowledge base staff AI tools can read. |
| 4. The 90 days | After the room | Team workshops, weekly tools, one strategic initiative a month, and an ideas box that scores every idea against the plan. |

## What happens on each day of the offsite?

Day one decides direction. Day two decides behaviour and ownership.

- **Day one, where we're going:** leaders test the draft against what they know, cut it to three things that matter with three priorities under each, and agree what won't get done this year.
- **Day two, how we roll and what's my part:** the behaviours that make the plan happen on a busy Tuesday, then one page per leader saying what they own this quarter.

## How much time does an offsite take from my leaders?

About two days in the room plus a few hours either side. GetSorted schedules around your busy season, and for professional firms avoids tax time and year end.

| Task | Time |
|---|---|
| Sending your material | About 1 hour |
| Reading the first draft | About 1 hour each |
| The two days | 2 days, your leaders |
| Reviewing the three pages | 30 minutes |
| Team workshops in the 90 days | About 2 hours a month |
| Day 90 recall check | 5 minutes per person |

## When do I need to send material?

By the Friday before the draft is due. GetSorted comes back with the first draft a week out from the offsite. February and March 2027 dates are being booked now.

## FAQ

**Do we have to start from scratch?**
No. GetSorted works from what you already have: your plan, values and handbook.

**Who should be in the room?**
Your leadership team and whoever can say yes, so decisions get made on the day. [DEMO] For most businesses of 20 to 300 people that's 5 to 12 people.

**What do we keep at the end?**
Everything: the three pages, each leader's plan and the knowledge base. While GetSorted is with you, it keeps them current.

**Is there a full agenda I can see?**
Yes, see the two-day leadership offsite agenda at /guides/leadership-offsite-agenda/.
